A dear friend of mine was walking through a deep, dark place. Everything around her seemed to be crumbling. While praying for her I felt heaviness come over me. The despair and hopelessness she felt I was suddenly experiencing. I reached for a pen and immediately wrote down what I wanted to feel. A few moments later I picked up the phone and sang it to this precious woman. She simply said: “Thank you. I needed that.” I think everyone in the world desires peace in their life. Comfort and hope are far too valuable to trade for anything this world has to offer.
I believe in putting on praise when a victory is won. It’s time to enjoy and celebrate the good things that come our way and always give God the glory for it!
While preparing to lead worship for a youth rally, I asked God what He wanted from the youth that would be in attendance that evening. I simply heard the words: “I want to take them higher. I want to take them to a new place.” Words quickly fell into place so that the song could be sung that very night.

I have a strong desire for others to come to know Christ as a true, loving God who longs to be with us and longs for us to know Him as He is. Those who are walking with the Lord should keep on walking and never give up. God hears you and God sees you. He is working and moving even when we don’t think He is. I pray that the music instills a hope and peace that will carry you through all of life’s mountain tops and valleys.
